This location is just a few blocks away from the USC campus, near downtown LA. The hotel is planned as a dual-brand Marriott Property. It will have 125 Fairfield Inn rooms and 150 Residence Inn Extended Stay rooms, adding up to 275 total rooms. The hotel's amenities, selected to cater to the diverse needs of dual-brand hotel guests, will include a public cafe, meeting rooms, a fitness center, and a large indoor/outdoor lounge area. The latter will feature a pool and firepit. The hotel rises 7 stories above ground. It has 1 level of underground parking. A large-scale city-implemented project, the 'My Figueroa Project,' is currently underway on the Figueroa Corridor (where this plan is located). It is intended to improve the overall experience of the street in a variety of ways. Notably, as part of this project, protected bike lanes will be added along the Figueroa Corridor. Construction on this hotel is expected to begin in 2018. It is currently in entitlements.
